Inspired by Mondrian's spiritual roots, utopian vision, formalist rigor, and love of jazz, these playful and direct works show how his sense of modernism still informs our contemporary world. His sense of purity and minimalism is now widely deconstructed and mirrored by our materialistic society. Despite his living through two world wars and a great depression, Mondrian's work continues to show that there is beauty and hope in most things.
